Ezekiel 3:17-21: I have appointed you a watchman to the house of Israel; whenever you hear a word from My mouth, warn them from Me. “When I say to the wicked, ‘You will surely die,’ and you do not warn him or speak out to warn the wicked from his wicked way that he may live, that wicked man shall die in his iniquity, but his blood I will require at your hand. “Yet if you have warned the wicked and he does not turn from his wickedness or from his wicked way, he shall die in his iniquity; but you have delivered yourself. “Again, when a righteous man turns away from his righteousness and commits iniquity, and I place an obstacle before him, he will die; since you have not warned him, he shall die in his sin, and his righteous deeds which he has done shall not be remembered; but his blood I will require at your hand. “However, if you have warned the righteous man that the righteous should not sin and he does not sin, he shall surely live because he took warning; and you have delivered yourself.“
When the enemy seeks to defeat, he begins with those who keep watch over the gates. Today, the watchmen in the natural are law enforcement. They are the ones that stand between us and those who seek to rob and kill us for pleasure. They sign up for a job, low pay, overtime, and the possibility that they will not make it back home to their families at the end of the day. And so the trend today is to attack the natural watchmen who watch over our cities.
As it is in the natural, so it is in the spiritual. So Church, look into the spiritual and see what the Spirit is showing you. As spiritual watchmen over the land, of the body of Christ, we are also being attacked. But we need to stand fast and watch and pray. We need to be like Daniel. We need to pay attention to the Word of God, to hear His Voice and to seek His face. Let us keep our covenant with the LORD. Let us not cower at the roar of the enemy. Our God is greater. Our destiny is powerful in Christ our Lord.
I Cor 15:58 says- Therefore, my beloved brethren, be steadfast, immovable, always abounding in the work of the Lord, knowing that your toil is not in vain in the Lord.
Daniel 9:1-6: In the first year of Darius the son of Ahasuerus, of Median descent, who was made king over the kingdom of the Chaldeans— in the first year of his reign, I, Daniel, observed in the books the number of the years which was revealed as the word of the LORD to Jeremiah the prophet for the completion of the desolations of Jerusalem, namely, seventy years. So I gave my attention to the Lord God to seek Him by prayer and supplications, with fasting, sackcloth and ashes. I prayed to the LORD my God and confessed and said, “Alas, O Lord, the great and awesome God, who keeps His covenant and lovingkindness for those who love Him and keep His commandments, we have sinned, committed iniquity, acted wickedly and rebelled, even turning aside from Your commandments and ordinances. “Moreover, we have not listened to Your servants the prophets, who spoke in Your name to our kings, our princes, our fathers and all the people of the land
Watchmen of the LORD- Stand your ground. Be Alert and Watch for your cities and those under your care. We have much to lose if the enemy breaches the Wall- both natural and spiritual. Fight for yourself, your family, your city, your country.
Amen
